Two Hundred and Thirteen Seconds

I thought this video would be a lot longer.

I recorded one second of every day of my Peace Corps service. I enjoyed the discipline of capturing one brief moment each day: whether it was something exciting or something banal, after a while I found that a one second video was a one second video and that all of the moments mattered. I could write a long blog post about how my whole experience was made up of precious moments, moments that passed too quickly, moments shared with so many special, important people—but I wont write that post. Ive already written that post a dozen times on this blog. Ill let this video stand on its own, as its own thing, a thing without very many words, but a thing full of many dear memories. And a thing with an abrupt ending.
